George William Symes (1896 – 1980) was my grandmother Kathleen Cudmore’s second husband.
George was first married to Katherine Lucas in 1939
George served in the British army in both world wars and became colonel of his regiment

George had no children
George was the son of George Symes (1859 – 1920)
George first married Rosa Guppy (1860 – 1892)
They had two children:
- William Hensley Symes (1887 – 1888)
- Edward Daniel Symes (1890 – 1950)
George’s second wife was Eliza Paulley (1870 – 1946) whom he married in 1894. Their only child was George William (see above)
